WHAT PAYMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER MY CHILD FOR THE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM?

You need to pay a non-refundable $250 deposit fee per child, which will be credited towards tuition in April, 2012. Annual membership in the Boroughs JCC is $225 and is also required for enrollment in the preschool program.

DO YOU OFFER A SIBLING DISCOUNT?

Parents with 2 or more children enrolled in the Core Preschool Program are entitled to a 5% discount off the Core Preschool Program tuition of the lower fee paying child. This policy does not apply to enrichment programs or extended day programs.

WHEN IS THE FIRST AND LAST MONTH’S TUITION DUE?

First and last month’s tuition is due June 1st, 2012, and is non-refundable and non-transferable. We will only accept checks for this payment.

HOW DO I PAY? 

Paying the full amount up front: If you are paying preschool tuition in full prior to the start of preschool in September, payment must be in the form of a check. This payment is due by September 1st 2011. The incentive to paying tuition in full up front is that you will not have to pay the monthly processing fee. 

 

Paying monthly: If you choose to pay tuition monthly, spread over 9 months, you will be enrolled in Tuition Express. Tuition Express automatically deducts monthly tuition payments from your credit card, checking or savings account.  See Edie Ryan before August 1st to enroll.

 

A $25 fee will be charged for any checks returned for insufficient funds.

HOW WILL I BE BILLED? 

In early May, you will receive a cost summary of the Boroughs JCC preschool tuition for your child. This includes the calculation of first and last month’s tuition, due by June 1st, 2012, and the total cost for all programs that your child is enrolled.

HOW MUCH ARE THE DEPOSITS FOR ENRICHMENT AND EXTENDED DAY SESSIONS?

A deposit of $35 is required per child per Enrichment Session and Extended Day Session. This deposit is non-refundable. Deposits are due at registration. Some classes require a minimum enrollment to run and if the minimum is not met, we may have to cancel the program. In that case, your deposit will be applied to your tuition. Enrichment Sessions that will fill up on a first come first serve basis.  

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE TO MY CHILD’S SCHEDULE?

All changes to your child’s schedule must be made in writing. After the second change during a school year, there will be a $25 administrative fee.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD MISSES SCHOOL OR AN ENRICHMENT CLASS, OR I TAKE MY CHILD OUT OF SCHOOL FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD?

There are no credits for tuition for your child missing school for any reason.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD LEAVES THE BOROUGHS JCC DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR?

This information needs to be made known to the JCC in writing. We will refund the prorated amount due, less our deposits, membership and first and last month’s tuition, as these are non-refundable and non-transferable. Deposits cannot be used for vacation programs or summer programs. 

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T PAY MY TUITION?

Tuition must be paid on time to hold your child’s spot in our program. After 5 days a late fee of $25 will be assessed. The Boroughs JCC reserves the right to refuse admittance to any family whose account is not current.

IS THERE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OFFERED AT THE BOROUGHS JCC?

There is financial assistance for qualified individuals at the Boroughs JCC. This process is based on an application and an interview with Jewish Family Services. If you are interested please see our business manager for an application. All applications are kept confidential.

DO YOU OFFER PROGRAMS DURING SCHOOL VACATION WEEKS?

We have special school vacation week programs in December, February and April.

DO YOU OFFER SUMMER PROGRAMS?

We have weekly summer programs in June, July and August. Registration will begin in April.
