Tuition Policies

WHAT PAYMENTS ARE REQUIRED TO REGISTER MY CHILD FOR THE PRESCHOOL PROGRAM?

You need to pay a non-refundable $250 deposit fee per child, which will be credited towards tuition in May, 2014.  Annual membership in the Boroughs JCC is $225 and is required for enrollment in the preschool program. First and last month’s tuition is due June 2nd, and is non-refundable and non-transferable.

HOW DO I PAY?

Tuition payments can be made either by ACH (Automated Clearing House) or by credit card through Tuition Express.  Families are required to provide a voided check and a credit card to be held on file.  Families that choose to pay by check, your account will be debited on the day payments are due. Families choosing to pay by credit card will incur a processing fee of $10/transaction. NO CASH PAYMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  We encourage you to process payments by ACH.  A $25 fee will be charged for insufficient funds. We will charge your credit card 15 days following any ACH insufficient funds.

HOW WILL I BILLED?

In early May, you will receive a cost summary of the Boroughs JCC preschool tuition for your child. This includes the calculation of first and last month’s tuition, due by June 2nd and the total cost for all programs that your child is enrolled. Your first monthly payment will be Aug. 4th.

HOW MUCH ARE THE DEPOSITS FOR ENRICHMENT AND EXTENDED DAY SESSIONS?

A deposit of $35 is required per child per Enrichment Session and Extended Day Session (capped at $500). This deposit is non-refundable.  Deposits are due at registration. Some classes require a minimum enrollment to run and if the minimum is not met, we may have to cancel the program. In that case, your deposit will be applied to your tuition. Enrichment Sessions fill up on a first come first serve basis.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO MAKE A CHANGE TO MY CHILD’S SCHEDULE?

All changes to your child’s schedule must be made in writing using the “Green Form”. We will allow four changes/school year. You will be assessed a $25 administrative fee to your account should you exceed this allowance.

ENFORCEMENT OF LATE PICK-UP POLICY

Please make every effort to pick your child up on time. We recognize that people are juggling busy schedules; however this is a busy time for the children. Many children and teachers are transitioning to other programs. In the event that you are late picking up due to an emergency, please call the Boroughs JCC so we may reassure your child.  Habitual (> 5 mins) tardiness picking up your child will result in a financial penalty ($10.00/every 5 mins). Please keep in mind that our concern is for the welfare of your child. Thank you for your cooperation.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD MISSES SCHOOL OR AN ENRICHMENT CLASS, OR I TAKE MY CHILD OUT OF SCHOOL FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD?

There are no credits for tuition for your child missing school for any reason.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD LEAVES THE BOROUGHS JCC DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR?

This information needs to be communicated to the Boroughs JCC in writing 30 days in advance. We will refund the prorated amount due, less your deposits, membership and first and last month’s tuition, as these are non-refundable and non-transferable.  Deposits cannot be used for vacation programs or summer programs.

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T PAY MY TUITION?

Tuition must be paid on time to hold your child’s spot in our program.  After 15 days, a late fee of $25 will be assessed. The Boroughs JCC reserves the right to refuse admittance to any family whose account is not current.

WHAT IF I HAVE QUESTIONS ABOUT MY BILL?

The Boroughs JCC Business Manager, Amy Hart, is available weekday mornings. Please stop by her office or you can reach Amy at bookkeeper@boroughsjcc.org or 508-366-6121 x21 with any payment questions or concerns.

IS THERE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE OFFERED AT THE BOROUGHS JCC?

There is financial assistance for qualified individuals at the Boroughs JCC.  This process is based on an application to be reviewed by Jewish Family & Children’s Services.  Please see our business manager for an application.  All applications are kept confidential.

WHO CAN ATTEND THE BOROUGHS JCC?

The Boroughs JCC is open to all, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or economic condition.  The status of toilet training has no bearing on admittance to the BJCC Preschool.  All children are welcome.
