Preschool Curriculum

Our curriculum is:
•    Developmentally appropriate
•    Written for the specific needs of each age level we service (15 months - 2.9 years, 3 years, 4 years and  5 years)
•    Aligned with NAEYC Criteria
•    Standards based to MA Preschool Frameworks
•    EEC QRIS level 1 certificated and NAEYC accredited
•    Integrates components of the research based: Get Set for School® Literacy, S.T.E.M, and Second Step®

Guiding Principles:
Some standards, set forth by NAEYC, are universal to all aspects of our program, and permeate much of what we provide in our classrooms.  Therefore we use these as Guiding Principles for all our classroom activities and routines.

These principles relate to:
•    Social-Emotional Development

•    Language Development
•    Creative Expression and Appreciation for the Arts
•    Health and Safety
•    Social Studies (sense of self and others, social skills and diversity)

Essential Elements are components that we at the Boroughs JCC Preschool believe to be inherent to quality preschool classrooms. In our curriculum, each element is clearly described, and connected to MA Preschool Frameworks and NAEYC Standards.
